Here at Somerville we are very proud of Carol, Tracey and Paula from the Plum accounts department who, along with some willing and able relatives, took part in the St Nicholas Hospice ‘Girls Night Out’ fundraiser, walking 11 miles through the night, in their pyjamas, in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday. They are still counting the proceeds, but so far the girls have raised over £1000 in memory of Carol’s mum, Jan, who was looked after with great compassion by the Hospice during her final weeks. The hospice relies on fundraising to help provide the £11,000 a day that it needs to continue providing support to others like Carol’s mum.
